About Aventura Valencia
Unlike other charter companies, we think beyond just chartering a yacht. Our inclusive packages ensure that everything is ready for you to step off the plane and onto the yacht and start sailing, rather than driving around looking for marinas or battling through supermarkets for supplies. Our objective is to get you out there on the water, so you can maximise on your holiday time. We can advise regarding marinas, places to eat, car hire, flights, where to visit, local fiestas etc. We have lived and sailed this region for more than 20 years and now we want you to enjoy it too.
The yachts are moored in Denia (038º51,0'N 000º7,6'E) in the Valencian region of South East Spain. Denia is a beautiful fishing town that lies under the protective gaze of the 11th Century castle and the Montgo mountain range. With it's busy port, tree lined streets and two yacht clubs, you may find yourself reluctant to set sail. This region is at the centre of world yachting today. Fifty nautical miles to the North (a day's sailing) the 32nd America's Cup is already underway in Valencia, culminating in the Louis Vuitton Cup. Sixty nautical miles to the South the Volvo Ocean Race sets sail around the world in 2008 from Alicante. To the East lie the Islands of Formantera and Ibiza and the rest of the Balearic archipelago. Ibiza or Formantera can easily be reached from Denia after a day's sailing, opening up the myriad of rocky coves, beaches and luxury marinas that make the Balearic Islands one of the top sailing areas in the Med. Along the coast from Denia are the towns and villages of Javea, Moraira, El Portet, Calpe (host of World Match Racing Championships) and Altea. Each with their respective yacht clubs, rocky bays and secluded beaches you can either drop anchor or take a visitors mooring for the night, taking time to explore or partake of some seafood or a local rice speciality.
